Founded in 1997, the Kenerson Group has provided innovative, user-friendly GIS solutions to state and local governments, utility companies, private-sector arboriculture and forestry firms, and other clients throughout the United States and Canada. The company is based in beautiful western Massachusetts.

Laurey Kenerson
President
Mr. Kenerson received his bachelor's degree in wildlife habitat management and his master's degree in forestry from the University of Massachusetts. He has owned and operated a successful vegetation management and forestry firm since 1963. Seeing the growing use of GIS in the field of natural resource management during the early nineties, and understanding the power and possibilites it presented, Laurey founded The Kenerson Group in 1997.

Kristopher Armstrong
GIS Developer
Mr. Armstrong oversees all GIS applications at The Kenerson Group, and is responsible for software development, client services, and product documentation. Mr. Armstrong came to The Kenerson Group with a background in data integration and decisions support solutions. He received a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Oregon State University.

John Clarke
Consulting Forester/Arborist & GIS Specialist
Mr. Clarke provides forestry and arboriculture consulting services to Kenerson Group clients. An ISA-Certified Arborist, his areas of specialty include forest management planning, timber volume estimates, and forest and urban tree inventories. Additionally, his training and experience as a GIS user allow him to offer spatial data management, resource analysis, and resource mapping services to his forestry clients. Mr. Clarke also provides general GIS consulting services. Mr. Clarke received his bachelor's degree in forestry from the University of Massachusetts and practices forestry in central Massachusetts.

Wendy L. Priestley, Ph.D.
Administrative Supervisor, Software Sales
Dr. Priestley oversees the day to day operations of The Kenerson Group and our sister company, AnythingGIS.com. AnythingGIS is a Value Added Reseller of ESRI software. She has a twenty-year history in the field of vegetation management, consulting and GIS applications. Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Skidmore College and graduate degrees from The George Washington University.

Mike Barry
Consulting Forester & Data Management Specialist
Mr. Barry is a consulting forester, database developer, and GIS user. Mike received his bachelor's degree in forestry from the University of Massachusetts, after which he accepted a position with the Massachusetts Bureau of Forestry. There, Mr. Barry managed State-owned forestlands and developed database applications for property management. Mr. Barry joined The Kenerson Group in 2004, where he has developed a forest management database application that includes a a field inventory component for use on a Pocket PC. Mr. Barry provides consulting forestry services in in western Massachusetts.
