Sr. GIS Developer

The Kenerson Group seeks a Senior Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Developer to join our team. The Kenerson Group is an ESRI business partner and developer that provides innovative software solutions for the green industries including tree management, forest management and rights-of-way vegetation management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for continued development and support of our existing software solutions as well as developing new solutions as directed. Additional responsibilities will include occasional attendance at national conferences, friendly customer support, and training. The position of Sr. GIS Developer requires at least a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Geography, Cartography or a related specialty field, in addition to GIS experience."

Qualified candidates will have a fluent understanding of programming in Microsoft Visual Basic development environment, experience in customizing and using ESRI ArcGIS 9.x, ArcObjects Library and Mobile GIS (PDA's and ESRI ArcPad). Additional requirements include a current knowledge or willingness to learn basic forestry, aboriculture and wildlife principles, along with other topics related to vegetation management practices.
